Hari Kedua (pagi) - 12/10/2016 Walaupun akak dah beberapa kali ke Siem Reap, tapi belum pernah berkesempatan untuk menjengah ke Lotus Farm ni lagi. So, kali ini akak make sure untuk dapat singgah ke Lotus Farm. Dinasihatkan, kalau nak ke Lotus Farm ini seelok-eloknya pergi di sebelah pagi kerana waktu pagi lah bunga akan kembang. Lebih kurang jam 8.30 pagi, driver tuk tuk Mr.S datang jemput akak di tempat penginapan, siap dah tapau kan makanan.. baiknya Mr.S ini... sangat perihatin. Lotus Farm ini letaknya di pertengahan jalan untuk ke Tonle Sap iaitu floating village. Bila tiba saja di situ, terpaku pandangan mataku. Sungguh indah sekali pemandangan yang dihamparkan di Lotus Farm ini...

Selepas dari Killing Fields tadi, akak ke Senteurs d’Angkor Workshop pula. Tempat ni pun akak tak pernah sampai lagi... jom tengok apa yang ada di sana.

Afford yourself some pampering, some “me time” with our delicately perfumed massage oils, body creams, body scrubs and bath salts, to ease the ache and pains of visiting the temples and send the body into a state of blissful calm.
For scents of a more aromatic kind, tease your taste buds with our fine selection of Cambodian spices including authentic Khmer curry, Lok lak, Satay, lemongrass, cinnamon, chilli and the famous Kampot pepper.
For an over the top indulgence, intoxicate your senses with the silky delight of our mango jam, the rich aroma of our flavoured tea and coffee from Ratanakiri, or the potent rice alcohol (brandy) from Siem Reap.
For those wanting to see more of what goes into making the scents and colours of Senteurs d’Angkor products, visit our workshop. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a wide variety of brightly-coloured sugar palm leaves drying in the sun. See the weavers producing the lovely boxes that carry all of your purchases home. Then you can see how our natural soaps, moisturising creams, scented balms and aromatic candles are made. From there, move on to discover the different steps in the preparation of spices (Kampot pepper, lemongrass, ginger, chilli) and the mixture of subtle combinations which make traditional Khmer curry spice, satay and lok-lak.
How does it help?
Senteurs d’Angkor prides itself on sourcing all of its products in Cambodia, from our raw ingredients to our packaging materials, which is not easy task. In line with our philosophy of ‘home-sourcing’, most of our packaging comes from the sugar palm tree, an abundant, natural and recyclable resource in Cambodia..
This philosophy ensures that jobs and incomes stay within Cambodia, helping to address the country’s poverty and reduce dependence on imports. We use the finest raw ingredients sourced from all over the country.
We employ 110 people and provide regular work to another 100 people, mostly women from the rural area, 10% of the workshop staff are handicapped, and all benefit from good work conditions (salary, profit-sharing, insurance, working environment…)

Alhamdulillah, mmm.. sedap masakannya di sini.. pedas,
kena dengan selera akak...
soup sour daging dan ikan goreng sambal.
Semasa bersembang dengan beberapa orang kenalan di sini waktu makan tadi, mereka beritau yang harga tiket masuk ke Angkor Wat tu akan naik bulan februari 2017. Woww.. mahalnya, akan naik ke usd37 ! What? Sedangkan harga sekarang ni usd20. Ini bermakna kenaikannya hampir double! isshh..isshh... susahlah pelancong nak masuk situ, jawabnya.. pikir banyak kali..
So, pada mulanya akak tak berniat pun untuk pergi ke Angkor Wat lagi pada trip kali ini sebab dah pernah masuk sebanyak 2 atau 3 kali semasa trip yang lepas (lupa dah). Tapi, memandangkan harganya akan melambung naik tu, jadi akak pun decide untuk masuk buat kali yang terakhir..esok.
Ok lah, akak nak balik berehat ye.. esok pagi insyaAllah nak ke Lotus Farm
Salam sabtu buat pembaca budiman, hari ni akak nak update story tentang trip Siem Reap yang akak baru balik 3 hari lepas. Ye..ye.. akak tau.. story trip New Zealand pun tak habis lagi update kan.. hehehee.. habih camno? Tak pe lah akak update story short trip Siem Reap ni dulu ye, nanti lepas tu akan sambung story New Zealand pulak.. insya Allah.. :))
Trip Siem Reap ini cuma pendek je (11/10/2016 - 13/10/2016) 3 hari 2 malam, sebab hari Sabtu pagi (15/10/2016) tu sepatutnya ada meeting dengan pihak Travellution, sebab tu lah kena make a short trip. Tapi bila akak dah sampai di sana, baru diberitahu yang meeting hari sabtu tu dah di batalkan... rugilah kan kalau nak tukar tarikh balik.. duit lagi.. apa-apa pun enjoy je lah short trip ni.
hmmm... oleh sebab flight akak tu awal pagi bebenor... departure pukul 6:50 pagi, maka akak pun terpaksalah tidur di airport pada malam sebelum tu, 10hb. Pertama kali tidur di surau KLIA2... mak aiii.. sojuk nyer! Menggigil dibuatnya.. ye lah.. aircond kuat dan bilik tertutup. Ramai juga yang tidur situ, semua kesejukan. Tak tahan, kul 3 pagi bangun..keluar cari hot coffee. Lepas tu terus tak boleh tidur.. solat tahajjud jawabnya. Dalam flight, makan nasi lemak pak nasser yang dah order sekali masa booking flight. Sampai di airport Siem Reap, driver tuk tuk akak yang baik budi tu, Mr.S dah sedia menunggu. Terus dihantar check in ke tempat penginapan... hmm.. bahagianya dapat check in awal, masa tu baru kul 10 pagi. Lebih bahagia lagi apabila bilik deluxe yang akak book itu di upgrade kan ke deluxe suite! yeahhh...suka..suka..suka..

Lepas check in tu, akak keluar balik untuk gi sightseeing...
hmm.. nak ke mana ye?
Sebenarnya, akak dah beberapa kali datang bercuti ke Siem Reap ni, entah kenapa macam suka je ke sini kalau nak short break.. pun begitu, masih ada tempat yang belum sempat cover lagi...
Haaaa... akak dibawa ke Angkor National Museum, tapi malas rasanya nak masuk museum tu sebab ianya berbayar, so akak lencung ke sebelah kanan tu, masuk ke Galleria..

di tingkat atas pula penuh dengan kedai-kedai branded..
Tak ada apa yang menarik perhatian akak di sini, so sekejap je lah.. dah keluar. Lepas ni akak ke Killing Fields yang tak pernah lagi akak sampai ke tempat tu.
Killing Fields
Wat Thmey (or Wat Thmei) is located about 3 km from the centre of Siem Reap along the exit road from Angkor. Wat Thmey is home to Siem Reap’s Killing Fields’ memorial.
It is a small active Pagoda, with a not-very-inspiring statue of Buddha. The hall it’s in is quite nicely decorated and you could spend a good couple of minutes there looking around. Outside there are the homes for the monks, and a teaching hall, as well as a small gift shop selling tourist tack.
In Siem Reap, the memorial is a small building at Wat Thmey with glass windows housing the skulls and bones of some of those who perished. There are also a couple of boards with fading photos showing life in the dark days. It doesn’t take long to go round. 15 minutes at most on the way back from Angkor. It’s part of the past that many people would like to forget. But, like war memorials in Western Countries, it serves as a warning to future generations. (source)
dalam pondok di bawah ini lah penuh dengan tengkorak manusia yang dikumpulkan, boleh nampak dari kaca tu.. hurm.. akak tak berani nak gi dekat situ, ambik gambar pun zoom je dari jauh...
